Renowned Rapper Skilla Baby Extends Heartfelt Gesture, Committing to Cover Expenses for a Community-Wide Tribute Celebrating the Life of Na’Ziyah Harris, a Teenager Who Has Been Missing Since January 2024. Skilla wrote in a post on Instagram while sharing a picture of Na’Ziyah; “Wow #Justice4Naziyah. And normally I would donate money to the family but from what I hear the whole family failed her… but I will cover the whole cost for us as a community to come together and celebrate Na’ziyah’s life…”
Supporters are flooding the comments with gratitude, praising Skilla Baby for taking initiative and showing his support.
Skilla Baby’s generous gesture coincides with the arrest and prosecution of 42-year-old Jarvis Butts, who is currently facing a multitude of severe charges, including first-degree premeditated murder, second-degree criminal sexual conduct, and child sexually abusive activity, stemming from allegations of a deeply disturbing and inappropriate relationship with the missing teenager, Na’Ziyah Harris.
“You’re the monster in this whole picture,” Sabree told Butts in the courtroom. “She (Na’Ziyah) did deserve love from her parents and everyone who was in her life, she was ignored. She was neglected, and you took complete advantage of that, she wanted someone to love her, and she will never know what that feels like. I pray for the healing of all the victims and the young girls, and possibly boys, who have come into contact with you.” Judge Aliyah Sabree told Butts in the courtroom while moving the case to the 3rd Circuit Court for trial.
Jarvis Butts, the accused, has a familial connection to Na’Zyah Harris through her biological aunt, Shannon Harris, with whom he shares children. Notably, Shannon Harris testified that she had no suspicions of any inappropriate behavior occurring.
