On Friday, August 2, Drake thrilled his devoted fans at an exclusive R&B concert in Toronto by announcing his upcoming collaboration with PartyNextDoor. This exciting news comes on the heels of his recently resolved feud with Kendrick Lamar, and follows the release of his non-diss tracks “Wah Gwan Delilah” and “Hot Uptown”, the latter featuring Camila Cabello.

I know all you girls are outside. When it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be waiting right there for you.”

“The two artists have a deep-rooted connection, with PartyNextDoor being a part of the OVO label family and contributing to some of Drake’s most memorable songs, such as “Legend” and “Elevate”, as a co-writer. At the show, Drake acknowledged PartyNextDoor’s influence on his music, hailing him as the “King of R&B” and thanking him for his profound impact, stating that he’s “changed my life and changed my sound.”

Back in June, around PartyNextDoor’s 31st birthday, Drake hinted at their joint album on Instagram, writing: “More life to the late night serander 6 side sound creator owl gang crusader melodies that persuade her baby making music to put her in labour none greater @partynextdoor stay tuned real soon.”
