Destroy Lonely's Concert in New Jersey Abruptly Cancelled Due to Bomb Threat

Destroy Lonely’s concert at the Wellmont Theater in New Jersey was abruptly halted on Saturday evening due to a reported bomb threat. Although Montclair Police later confirmed the threat to be a hoax, the incident prompted a significant police response, with multiple squad cars arriving at the scene. According to a social media post, an eyewitness described the scene after evacuation, stating, ‘They have police everywhere; Bomb threats were called in.’

In an update, Montclair Police assured residents that there was no credible threat, and the area surrounding the Wellmont Theater was safe. However, Mayor Renee Baskerville initially advised caution, recommending that residents avoid the area until authorities completed their investigation.

Destroy Lonely has been touring in promotion of his latest studio album, Love Lasts Forever, which was released in August of last year. The album features collaborations with notable artists Lil Uzi Vert and Ken Carson, with production credits attributed to Lil 88, Wheezy, Cxdy, and several others. Love Lasts Forever achieved a peak position of No. 10 on the US Billboard 200 chart. Destroy Lonely’s upcoming tour schedule includes stops in Toronto, Boston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, and multiple other cities in the coming weeks.

Separately, Destroy Lonely was recently involved in a public altercation with his girlfriend, Shannade Clermont, at a gas station in November. The incident escalated to the point where law enforcement was summoned. In a social media post, Shannade Clermont came to Destroy Lonely’s defense, downplaying the incident and implying that the public was overreacting. She later shared a lighthearted explanation, stating that she had locked him out, which led to his frustration.
